Flying over the brightest lake,
I saw your shadow under me.
Or was it my shadow so near?
Is that you or could it be me?
I swiftly landed on the shore
Looking for wings that matched my size,
Or footprints like mine on the clay,
Or feathers dark and light as day.
Walking in circles I then saw,
Two perplexed eyes looking at me:
Shall we stand here on this shore?
Or shall we now fly to the sea?
